A 72-year-old woman was killed while sitting on a bench in the Bronx after a motorist suffered a medical episode and lost control of his car Tuesday afternoon, cops said.

Ramonita Colon was seated beside a 32-year-old man when the 55-year-old driver of a  2018 Mazda CX5 struck the pair at the corner of Bartow Ave. and Co-Op City Blvd. in Co-Op City around 1:31 p.m., police said.

The driver was heading north on Co-Op City Blvd. when he lost control of his vehicle, mounted the sidewalk and slammed into the bench that the pair were seated on, said police.

The woman was found dead, pinned beneath the Mazda, with severe injuries throughout her body, cops said.

Medics rushed the driver and the injured 32-year-old man to Jacobi Medical Center, where they are both expected to survive.

Investigators believe the driver suffered a medical episode at the time of the crash, but an NYPD spokesman could not say specifically what caused him to lose control.

Colon lived in Wakefield more than 3 miles away from where she was killed, cops said.
