What could be the drab interior of a parking structure is being transformed into a walkable public art gallery in Newport Beach.
Eleven artists are creating murals around the theme “Hope is a Rising Tide” at the Lido Marina Village parking structure.
Organizers from City of Hope Orange County and the Lido Marina Village hope the space creates an opportunity for reflection, connection, and inspiration for visitors.
City of Hope cancer patients are featured in some of the murals, while others touch on science and innovation themes.
The last mural, the 64×8-foot “Hope on the Horizon” by artist RFX1, is currently being finished.
Visiting the space is free and open to the public.
