Through Sunday, there had been two shooting incidents in the 9th Precinct, which includes the East Village.

One of them happened just about a half mile from Thursday’s shooting. On April 25, deli worker of Abdul Saleh, 28, was fatally shot outside his family’s store at Avenue B and E. 13th St. during an argument with a disgruntled customer who had been an ongoing nuisance at the store.

The suspect, Kavone Horton, was later arrested and charged with murder.
