An investigation is underway after a man was found dead Sunday evening in Bachman Lake, officials said.
Crews were dispatched about 6:29 p.m. after reports that a man had gone into the lake and did not resurface, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans said.
Evans said it remains unclear whether the man jumped or fell into the water, alhough Dallas police said investigators determined the man had jumped into the lake.
Witnesses reported seeing him enter the lake from a bridge on Webb Chapel Road between Northwest Highway and Shorecrest Drive.
The body of the unidentified man was found about 7 p.m. near the location he’d gone into the lake, according to officials.
