Conan O’Brien will host the Academy Awards presentation for the third time in 2027.

ABC announced on Tuesday that the funnyman who hosted Hollywood’s biggest night the past two years, will do the honors again on March 14. The network referred to O’Brien’s return as “the trilogy event Hollywood’s been waiting for.”

The show that’s still 10 months away is also being billed as “The Threequel.”

It’s anyone’s guess which movies or performers will be nominees when the 63-year-old comic emcees the 99th Academy Awards at the Ovation Hollywood theatre in Southern California.

O’Brien opened 98th edition of the Oscars by joking  future shows will be hosted by machines.

“I am Conan O’Brien and I am honored to be the last human host of the Academy Awards,” he said in March. “Next year it’s going to be a Waymo in a tux.”

His past two appearances were generally well received.

Nearly 20-million viewers tuned in to watch O’Brien host the 97th Academy Awards making that event the show’s most watched broadcast in five years.
Ratings took a 9% dip this year, when the show was seen by fewer that 17.9 million people, according to Variety.
