The influencer known as “Chud the Builder” faces 60 years in prison over a shooting that occurred outside of a Tennessee courthouse last week.

Dalton Eatherly was arraigned Friday following a Wednesday afternoon at the Montgomery County Courthouse that led to a victim being airlifted to a Nashville hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

The 26-year-old suspect — who posts videos of himself confronting Black passersby – was ordered held on $1.25 million preliminary bond. He faces up to 60 years behind bars, according to People.

A formal bond appearance is scheduled on May 21 followed by a May 26 preliminary hearing.

Eatherly’s lawyers said his client was earlier released on bond associated with two prior cases.The suspect was accused of theft of services and disorderly conduct last week. He was charged with harassment in November.

Surveillance video of last week’s courthouse shooting shows ricocheting projectiles hitting walls, according to a court affidavit. Bystanders appeared to have witnessed Eatherly suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his arm.

The shooting followed an altercation of an unspecified nature between the suspect and another man. Eatherly, who’s white, is known to post video showing him harassing Black people. Witnesses said the victim in last week’s shooting is Black. The extent of his injuries isn’t known.

Charges against Eatherly include employing a firearm, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. He claims to have acted in self-defense, according to TMZ.

Eatherly describes himself as a “Free Speech Patriot” on X, where he has more than 230,000 followers.
