A 31-year-old man is dead following a shooting Tuesday night in Dallas’ Red Bird neighborhood, police said in a statement.
Dallas police officers responded to reports of a shooting about 10:55 p.m. in the 400 block of Highcrest Drive.
Investigators determined Trevan Aguinage had been shot at the scene before Dallas Fire-Rescue transported him to the hospital, where he later died, the statement said.
A 23-year-old was taken into custody at the scene and faces a murder charge in connection with the shooting. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remains in the Dallas County jail with no bail set.
