A 17-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times in her leg and arm with a kitchen knife after an argument at a Brooklyn public high school Tuesday, police said.

The student was attacked inside El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice, on Hooper St. near Marcy Ave. in Williamsburg, around 12:20 p.m.

Police recovered a kitchen knife at the scene, cops said.

Medics rushed the teen to NYU Langone-Cobble Hill, where she is expected to survive.

A person of interest was taken into custody, but no charges had been filed as of Tuesday afternoon.

The NYC Department of Education is investigating, according to a spokesperson.

“This senseless act of violence is deeply troubling and will not be tolerated,” said Department of Education spokesperson Isla Gething. “School staff and Safety Agents immediately responded, following all safety protocols. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported. We are conducting a full investigation, taking all necessary action, and providing appropriate support to the community.”
