A man was shot in the stomach while riding the L train in Center City on Thursday afternoon.
SEPTA Transit Police were investigating the shooting that occurred around 1:30 p.m. on a westbound L train, also known as the Market-Frankford Line, at 15th Street Station located under City Hall and Dilworth Plaza.
Police transported the man, who was shot and was not identified, to a nearby hospital, where he was in stable condition, according to SEPTA. A search was underway for the suspect, who has not been identified by police.
L train and trolley service is running again after having been stopped for around 30 minutes, a SEPTA spokesperson said.
