
This year, communities across North Texas are gearing up for an extra special Fourth of July. The country will be celebrating its 250th birthday, and there will be lots of festivals, unique events and 250th celebrations happening across Dallas-Fort Worth.
As a note, weather-related schedule changes and other updates are a possibility, so make sure to check event websites as you plan your trip.
FLOWER MOUND INDEPENDENCE FEST 2026
This all-day celebration starts with the annual Children’s Parade featuring a variety of kids’ activities including live entertainment, face painting and free hot dogs. Live entertainment is on tap at Bakersfield Park, with musical acts Gabby Barrett, Emerald City Band and Le Freak. Food trucks and vendors will be on hand, along with a classic car show. A fireworks show will close the evening.

Celebrate Independence Day in Fort Worth at Fort Worth’s Fourth. The festival will open to the public at 5 p.m. and will feature free activities and attractions for the kids, including face painting, inflatables, a swim area, water slides and a zip line. There will also be live performances by The Dick Beldings and Chattahoochee. The evening will close out with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy an evening full of patriotic fun for the whole family. The Rotary Clubs of Plano parade will begin at 7:30 a.m., and afterwards patrons can enjoy games, food and the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

FRISCO’S FREEDOM FEST
A two-day holiday celebration featuring multiple events including the pet festival Paws & Stripes, the Party in the USA 5K, a cornhole tournament and the Frisco Freedom Fest Block Party. The festival will close with fireworks at 10 p.m.
• The Paws & Stripes pet festival, featuring the Dachshund Dash, Runway Rover and Corgi Clash events, is July 3, 6-10 p.m. at Kaleidoscope Park.
• The Party in the USA 5K is July 4, 8-10 a.m. at Harold Bacchus Community Park.
• The Cornhole Tournament is July 4, 1 p.m. at Kaleidoscope Park.
• The Freedom Fest Block Party is July 4, 5-10 p.m. at Riders Field, with a fireworks show at about 10 p.m.
CELEBRATE FREEDOM AT LIBERTY LAKE
The Colony’s Independence Day festivities will kick off with the Liberty 5K and Fun Run and parade in the morning. In the evening, families can enjoy the Liberty Carnival, marketplace and watermelon-eating contest. End the night with fireworks over The Colony.

FLY ON SOUTHERN CROSS + JULY 4TH FIREWORKS
Spend the Fourth of July riding aboard the historic C-49J “Southern Cross” plane while getting a view of the fireworks from above. Also enjoy historic aircraft displays, live music from The Dynamic Swing Machine Big Band, World War II-era re-enactors and food trucks.

STAR-SPANGLED SPECTACULAR – MEYERSON SYMPHONY CENTER
The Dallas Winds will be putting on a special show for the U.S.’s 250th birthday, and it will be conducted by Grammy-nominated conductor Jerry Junkin.

THE STATLER INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH ROOFTOP FESTIVITIES
A Fourth of July celebration just for adults; attendees can enjoy a night of EDM and house music, food and a night swim with a view of the city’s fireworks.

SENSORY-SENSITIVE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
A special sensory-sensitive Independence Day celebration for individuals with autism. It will feature live music at a controlled level by Buffett Beach, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band, autism-trained staff and a calm zone. There will be no fireworks at this function, so animals are welcome.
