This Fourth of July is more special than others because it marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Several restaurants in the D-FW area will have promotions and dishes designed for the occasion.  

Here are some of the best specials available over the holiday weekend, and we recommend checking the hours and terms before heading out, as some promotions are valid for just one day.

BOBBIE’S AIRWAY GRILL 

Bobbie’s Airway Grill is offering a Fourth of July to-go package July 3-5 designed for backyard gatherings. The BYO Chili Dog Kit serves as the centerpiece of the promotion and includes six Sabrett all-beef hot dogs on house-made brioche buns with Texas Red chili and cheddar. 

The $175 package also comes with jalapeño coleslaw and a half-gallon of the restaurant’s frozen Bracco, an Aperol and fresh grapefruit cocktail. Guests can add a whole chocolate pie for $70 with at least 24 hours’ advance notice.

BOWIE HOUSE 

Bowie House will mark the Fourth of July and America’s 250th birthday July 2-4 with the Declaration Dog, a Texas Wagyu hot dog topped with smoked mustard crème fraîche, baby pickle and onion relish, and an ounce of Osetra Reserve caviar on a brioche roll. 

The specialty hot dog is priced at $250. Additional holiday programming includes pool day passes, frozen drink specials and a sunset toast with sparklers.

BURGER SCHMURGER

Burger Schmurger returns to the Lake Highlands Fourth of July Parade on July 4 with a burger-grilling float, giveaways and a post-parade celebration at its restaurant. The restaurant will begin serving guests at 10 a.m., an hour earlier than usual. 

During the parade, staff will grill burgers aboard a trailer while distributing wrapped burgers, candy and merchandise to spectators. The restaurant encourages guests to wear red, white and blue for the post-parade festivities.

CANTINA LAREDO 

Cantina Laredo is bringing back its USA ‘Rita cocktail for the Fourth of July weekend. The frozen drink features layers flavored with Blue Curaçao and strawberry purée.

CROWN BLOCK 

Crown Block, the restaurant on top of Reunion Tower, will serve its Liberty Tomahawk July 3-5, for $250 as a nod to 250 years of American independence, featuring a 48-ounce prime bone-in tomahawk steak with triple-cooked fries, macaroni and cheese, an onion ring stack and a tableside sparkler presentation. 

The restaurant is also hosting “Fourth of July in the Sky” in the Crown Room at Reunion Tower from 7-11 p.m. July 4. Tickets are $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and include unlimited chef-attended food stations featuring carving stations, seafood, barbecue, sliders, mini hot dogs, desserts, s’mores and cotton candy. DEL FRISCO’S DOUBLE EAGLE STEAKHOUSE
