Where to celebrate the Fourth of July with food and specials

This Fourth of July is more special than others because it marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Several restaurants in the D-FW area will have promotions and dishes designed for the occasion.  

Here are some of the best specials available over the holiday weekend, and we recommend checking the hours and terms before heading out, as some promotions are valid for just one day.

BOBBIE’S AIRWAY GRILL 

Bobbie’s Airway Grill is offering a Fourth of July to-go package July 3-5 designed for backyard gatherings. The BYO Chili Dog Kit serves as the centerpiece of the promotion and includes six Sabrett all-beef hot dogs on house-made brioche buns with Texas Red chili and cheddar. 

The $175 package also comes with jalapeño coleslaw and a half-gallon of the restaurant’s frozen Bracco, an Aperol and fresh grapefruit cocktail. Guests can add a whole chocolate pie for $70 with at least 24 hours’ advance notice.

Bowie House will mark the Fourth of July and America’s 250th birthday July 2-4 with the Declaration Dog, a Texas Wagyu hot dog topped with smoked mustard crème fraîche, baby pickle and onion relish, and an ounce of Osetra Reserve caviar on a brioche roll. 

The specialty hot dog is priced at $250. Additional holiday programming includes pool day passes, frozen drink specials and a sunset toast with sparklers.

BURGER SCHMURGER 

Burger Schmurger returns to the Lake Highlands Fourth of July Parade on July 4 with a burger-grilling float, giveaways and a post-parade celebration at its restaurant. The restaurant will begin serving guests at 10 a.m., an hour earlier than usual. 

During the parade, staff will grill burgers aboard a trailer while distributing wrapped burgers, candy and merchandise to spectators. The restaurant encourages guests to wear red, white and blue for the post-parade festivities.

CANTINA LAREDO 

Cantina Laredo is bringing back its USA ‘Rita cocktail for the Fourth of July weekend. The frozen drink features layers flavored with Blue Curaçao and strawberry purée. 

The cocktail will be available July 3-5 at the restaurant’s Addison and Frisco locations.

CROWN BLOCK 

Crown Block, the restaurant on top of Reunion Tower, will serve its Liberty Tomahawk July 3-5, for $250 as a nod to 250 years of American independence, featuring a 48-ounce prime bone-in tomahawk steak with triple-cooked fries, macaroni and cheese, an onion ring stack and a tableside sparkler presentation. 

The restaurant is also hosting “Fourth of July in the Sky” in the Crown Room at Reunion Tower from 7-11 p.m. July 4. Tickets are $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and include unlimited chef-attended food stations featuring carving stations, seafood, barbecue, sliders, mini hot dogs, desserts, s’mores and cotton candy. Beer, wine and cocktails are available for purchase.

DEL FRISCO’S DOUBLE EAGLE STEAKHOUSE 

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse is offering a limited-time Fourth of July menu available in the dining room only. 

Specials include a tempura lobster tail corn dog for $22, Japanese A5 sirloin with lobster scampi for $95 and lobster creamed corn for $34. Reservations are recommended.

DEL FRISCO’S GRILLE 

Del Frisco’s Grille is featuring a limited-time menu July 1-6 centered on classic cookout fare. 

Guests can order a Wagyu hot dog and a 4-ounce burger for $25 or add a draft beer for a total of $30.

DICKEY’S BARBECUE PIT 

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is offering discounts on online and app orders July 2-5. Customers can receive $5 off orders of $25 or more with the code FIREWORKS and $15 off orders of $75 or more with the code JULY1776. 

The chain is also selling a limited-edition patriotic 32-ounce Big Yellow Cup for $3.99 beginning July 1. A portion of proceeds will benefit first responders through The Dickey Foundation.

DOG HAUS 

Dog Haus will celebrate July 4 with its “1776 Pairings” promotion. Guests can pair any hot dog or sausage with a pint of beer for $17.76 or choose a burger and beer for the same price.

El Chico’s Rockwall location is offering Family Meal Packs July 4-5. Choices include Family Fajitas for $73.99, Family Tacos for $47.99 and Family Enchiladas for $49.99, with meals serving six to eight people. 

The fajita package includes chicken, steak or both, while taco and enchilada options offer several fillings and sauces.

Ford’s Garage is running a July 1-4 promotion featuring an American Standard Burger, fries and a select draft beer or soft drink.

IDA CLAIRE (ADDISON) 

Ida Claire in Addison hosts its annual Kaboom Town Block Party from 7-10:30 p.m. July 3 with a live DJ, fireworks viewing, yard games and a holiday food and cocktail menu. 

General admission is $10. VIP admission is $50 and includes valet parking, reserved seating and a $20 food-and-beverage credit. Menu items include cheeseburgers, ribs, barbecue chicken, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, elotes and several themed cocktails.

IL BRACCO 

Il Bracco is offering Fourth of July to-go packages July 3-5 for holiday entertaining. 

The $150 package includes two combo sandwiches, two chopped salads and a half-gallon of the restaurant’s frozen Bracco, the restaurant’s Aperol and fresh grapefruit frozen cocktail. A whole cheesecake may be added for $75 with advance ordering.

JD’S CHIPPERY 

JD’s Chippery is selling patriotic Fireworks Cookie Cakes for Independence Day celebrations in a variety of sizes and cookie flavors. 

The Preston Royal location is also offering a buy-one, get-one-free cookie happy hour from 5-7 p.m. daily through July 31.

MILKSHAKE FACTORY 

MilkShake Factory is offering a buy-one, get-one-free promotion on its American Classics Menu on July 4. The limited-time menu is available through Sept. 13. 

Featured items include the All-American Apple Pie Milkshake, Confetti Birthday Cake Milkshake, Southern Banana Pudding Milkshake, Classic Chocolate Malt Milkshake, Root Beer Float and Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

Dinner is $150 per person, with a $55 children’s menu for ages 12 and younger. Window seating requires a $175 deposit. Guests purchasing a $250 gift card July 4 or 5 will receive a $50 bonus card.

THE RESERVE AT THE HIGHLAND 

The Reserve at The Highland will serve its one-day American Table menu on its patio for the holiday. 

The menu includes grilled tri-tip with chimichurri, smoked pulled pork sliders, deviled eggs, coleslaw, clam dip with house-made potato chips, Belgian waffles, banana pudding, peach cobbler and brownies. Tickets start at $45.

THE STATLER 

The Statler is celebrating July 4 with food and drink specials throughout the property. Overeasy will serve breakfast specials including BBQ Brisket Benedict for $17, Red, White & Blue Pancakes for $14, the Firecracker Omelet for $16 and Champagne Cream Cake for $12. 

Scout and Waterproof will feature burgers, ribs, smoked sausage, themed cocktails and desserts throughout the day. Waterproof’s rooftop pool party and fireworks watch party runs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a $35 cover charge.

WIENERSCHNITZEL 

Wienerschnitzel is marking the holiday with several summer promotions, including a limited-edition merchandise collection and a new All American Meal Deal. 

The meal deal includes two corn dogs and a small order of fries for $4. The chain is also introducing funnel cakes in Oreo, apple pie and classic varieties with strawberry, caramel or chocolate toppings.
