
<p>A wildfire that broke out after a semi-truck fire sparked nearby brush along the 5 freeway in Castaic prompted evacuation warnings Monday, July 6.</p><p>By about 6 p.m., forward progress was stopped on the Martin fire which had grown to 19 acres after it was reported just after 4 p.m. on the 5 freeway just north of Templin Highway, according to Watch Duty, a nonprofit that tracks fires across the country. The fire was 46 percent contained as of Monday evening.</p><p>An evacuation warning was issued for the area of Paradise Ranch, between Templin Highway and the Pyramid Lake area, according to Los Angeles County fire officials.</p><p>No injuries had been reported. Fire officials didn’t immediately know how many structures were threatened in the area.</p><p>The cause of the fire remains under investigation.</p><p>
