Ulissias Marcelli, a Brazilian influencer with a flair for the Gothic, was found dead with her boyfriend along a rural roadside in Brazil over the weekend, according to a reports.

A farm worker found the bodies of 30-year-old Marcelli and her 28-year-old boyfriend, Vinícius Souza de Carvalho, on Friday in Porto Seguro, Brazilian outlet G1 reported. After a preliminary investigation, authorities determined the couple was likely held captive before they were shot, according to the outlet.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing, including whether the deadly violence was related to drug trafficking in the region.

No arrests have been made.

Their deaths were also confirmed by Brazil’s Festival Rock Gaya, a music and arts festival held in Porto Seguro. The couple had been slated to appear at the event, with Marcelli expected to host the festivities this Saturday.

“We’re still trying to find the words for a moment like this,” festival organizers said in a statement shared on social media.

“It’s hard to believe that someone who was about to share such a special moment with us is gone so soon,” it continued. “At this moment, the entire team of the Rock Gaya Festival joins together in solidarity with the family, friends and everyone who has had the privilege of knowing it. Rest in peace Ulissias.”

Marcelli, who had more than 20,000 social media followers at the time of her death, garnered a following showing off her goth aesthetic, oftentimes sporting complex all-black ensembles. She was also known for taking to the stage with choreographed routines that also typically included fire.
