A 21-year-old woman was arrested after police said she fatally shot another woman late Thursday in southeast Dallas.
Officers responded about 10:40 p.m. to a shooting call in the 8800 block of Lake June Road, according to Dallas police.
The victim, 20-year-old Stacie Carrasco, was taken by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police located and arrested the suspect later. She was booked into the Dallas County jail and is facing a murder charge.
Authorities have not said what led to the shooting or whether the two women knew each other.
