NYPD cops shot and wounded an armed suspect at a Queens home Saturday, where a fire was started and a garage exploded into a roar of flames leading to a dozen injuries, police sources said.
Cops responded to a woman’s 911 call that a man, armed with a shotgun, had shot two people inside the two-story home on Ocean Crest Blvd. near Hartman Ln. in Far Rockaway about 11:55 a.m., sources said.
After an explosion erupted in a garage, the 33-year-old suspect ran out of the home holding a shotgun, and several police officers opened fire at him.
EMS rushed the man to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Two of the suspect’s relatives were found dead inside his home, cops said. More than a dozen others were injured in the fire, according to AM New York.
