Man dies in Bronx home 3 days after being struck by hit-run pickup truck driver

A 60-year-old pedestrian died in his Bronx home three days after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver, police said Monday.

Kitt Hamilton was crossing E. 183rd St. at Jerome Ave. in Fordham at 5:40 a.m. on May 31 when he was hit by the driver of a Ford F-250 pickup truck heading north on the avenue, police said.

The driver then sideswiped a unoccupied FDNY truck parked outside EMS Station 19 and fled the scene.

Hamilton was taken by medics to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

He was later released but died June 3 at his home about a half-mile away from where he was struck, NYPD officials said.

Cops are still looking for the driver who struck him.
