Three masked men armed with handguns and what appeared to be an AR-15-style rifle robbed three people early Sunday morning in Center City, according to police.
Around 3 a.m. on the 1500 block of Locust Street, police said, the men stepped out of a gray Hyundai, ordered the victims to the ground, and demanded their belongings.
Two of the people complied, police said but the third resisted, and one of the robbers hit that person in the face with a handgun.
The assailants took cell phones, watches, car keys, wallets, driver’s licenses, and cash before fleeing in the same vehicle, police said.

No arrests have been announced. The investigation remains active, police said. A news conference on the crime is scheduled for 1 p.m..
