A GoFundMe set up for Lindsay Clancy’s parents climbed past $1 million in donations after her mistrial on Friday.
The page, titled the “The Musgrove Family Fund,” had raked in $1.1 million of its newly increased $3 million goal as of Saturday afternoon.
“In January 2023, Lindsay Clancy was accused of killing her three young children in the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts home,” it reads. “More than three years later, her case is now being tried in court. Throughout those three years, Lindsay’s parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove, have continued to show up for their daughter.
“And that is who this fundraiser is for, Mike and Paula, who have spent years traveling back and forth, staying in hotels, attending court proceedings and ultimately relocating from Connecticut to Massachusetts so they could remain close to Lindsay.”

Clancy has never denied killing her children, but her attorney argued that she only did so because she suffered from postpartum psychosis. She strangled all three of her kids — Cora, 5, Dawson 3, and Callan, 8 months — with exercise bands, and then tried to take her own life under the fog of a mental health crisis brought on by the rare condition, the defense contended. Prosecutors, meanwhile, argued she was aware of her actions and their consequences.
Following a seven-week, high-profile trial in a Massachusetts, a judge was forced to declare a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a verdict. According to the defense, a lone juror was holding out, preventing a unanimous vote.
The Plymouth County district attorney said the prosecution would decide “shortly” on whether to retry the case.
In an update shared on Friday, the same day as the decision, the GoFundMe organizer, Brandee Mulligan, announced an increase in the fundraising goal from $2 million to $3 million.
“I’ve decided to raise the goal of this fundraiser since this process has been extended, so is the time Paula and Mike will remain away from their home, continuing to carry the costs that come with being there for their daughter every day,” Mulligan wrote.
