A homeless man was killed and a woman wounded during a violent double stabbing in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen Wednesday, cops said.
John Carlos Mesa, 26, and the 35-year-old woman were attacked inside a W. 47th St. apartment building near 9th Ave. around 2:45 p.m., police said.
A motive for the attack was not immediately disclosed.
Mesa was stabbed in the torso, and the woman was stabbed in her back and neck.
Medics rushed both victims to Mt. Sinai Morningside Hospital, where Mesa died. The wounded woman is expected to survive.
Police took a person of interest into custody. There were no immediate charges as police continue to investigate.
