Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski are splitting up after nearly 10 years of marriage.
“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit,” the pair said in a joint statement to People. “We’ve got each other forever — and it’s GOOD.”
The couple, both actors, met in 2015 while starring together in the off-Broadway play “The Way We Get By.” Seyfried was in a relationship with Justin Long at the time, while Sadoski had been married to Kimberly Hope. Both of their relationships ended before the pair worked together again on the movie “The Last Word,” which saw them play love interests.
By September 2016, they were engaged, and Sadoski revealed they’d eloped some six months later.
“We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Sadoski said during an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” back in March 2017. “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”

Just weeks after their marriage, Seyfried and the “Newsroom” alum welcomed their first child together, their daughter, Nina. They also share a son, Thomas Jr., who was born in 2020.
The last time Seyfried and Sadoski were photographed together was in January, though the “Mean Girls” actress has been spotted out and about on her own, most recently, promoting her thriller “The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd” at the Toronto Film Festival.
