Street Food Cinema is bringing its holiday movie tradition back to Los Angeles this winter with eight nights of Christmas classics, Victorian home tours and plenty of faux snow.
Yuletide Cinemaland returns for its ninth season at Heritage Square Museum from Nov. 28 through Dec. 23, transforming the museum’s collection of Victorian-era homes into a holiday setting for outdoor double features and seasonal activities.
This year’s movie lineup begins Nov. 28 with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Other pairings include “The Muppet Christmas Carol” with “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” on Dec. 12 and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with “Batman Returns” on Dec. 19.
“Elf” screens alongside “The Year Without a Santa Claus” on Dec. 20, while “The Muppet Christmas Carol” and “Gremlins” are scheduled for Dec. 22. “Home Alone” and “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” will take over the grounds for pajama party nights on Dec. 5 and Dec. 23.
Beyond the movies, the event will feature nightly guided tours of the museum’s historic homes, projection mapping on the Perry Mansion, holiday light installations, simulated snow flurries and visits from Santa Claus. Guests can also find food trucks, hot cocoa and apple cider, holiday cocktails, live singalongs, a seasonal marketplace and a costume contest.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first screening beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the second starting between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are on sale now. Adult admission is $39 in advance and $47 at the door, while tickets for children ages 4-12 are $24 in advance and $31 at the door. Children 3 and younger are admitted free. streetfoodcinema.com.
