The NYPD has released a photo of the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old Queens boy fleeing on the victim’s scooter.
Malakai Adams was shot to death on Beach Channel Drive near Beach 51st St. in the Edgemere neighborhood of the Rockaways about 3:30 p.m. Monday, cops said. The killer stole the victim’s scooter but it wasn’t clear if the robbery was the sole motive for the slaying, police sources said.
”He was full of life, like any other kid,” Malakai’s aunt Ashley Adams said in an exclusive interview. “The family is grieving really hard right now.”
The suspect was last seen headed east on Norton Ave. wearing a black hoodie and face mask, black-and-gray pants and red-and-white sneakers, cops said. Cops are asking the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
