Tom Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, is rocking some major new ink, and it appears to be a nod to their son, Chet.
The 69-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram this week to promote her new song “Stranger with Age” with a carousel of photos, including one of her new tattoo. The image sees Wilson topless and standing with her back to the screen, showing off a massive and elaborate cross that stretches from the top of her shoulders to the top of her pants.
“STRANGER WITH AGE? Who? Me? I’m lovin’ it!” she wrote in the caption of her post, which also included other photos of Wilson having fun.
“Who else is stranger with age? STRANGER WITH AGE song is out everywhere,” she added, referring to her new single.
While it is unclear whether the tattoo is real, it is incredibly similar to the one her son, Chet, has on his back. He too has a giant crucifix, though the pattern inside of his is slightly different.
Wilson has been married to Tom Hanks since 1988. They met years earlier on the set of the television sitcom “Bosom Buddies,” and they share two children, Chet and Truman Hanks. The Oscar-winner also has two older children, Colin and Elizabeth, from his previous marriage to the late Samantha Lewes.
