A 33-year-old man was stabbed to death inside a Washington Heights homeless shelter — and a fellow resident was arrested for his murder, police said Monday.
The victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest during an argument with his killer at Project Renewal’s Fort Washington Men’s Shelter on W. 168th St. near Fort Washington Ave. about 11:45 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Medics rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he later died, cops said. His name was not immediately released.
Javed Tyghter, 29, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder.
Both men were living at the shelter, police sources said.
Tyghter’s arraignment was pending in Manhattan Criminal Court Monday.
