A blood trail that stretched for two blocks was found on a Queens sidewalk early Thursday after a knife-wielding woman repeatedly stabbed a man on the sidewalk, sending him to the hospital, police said.
The bloody knifing on 42nd Road near Crescent St. in Long Island City was at least the third stabbing to take place in Queens in 24 hours, cops said. The other two were fatal.
Police said the 28-year-old victim in Long Island City suffered two stab wounds to his left arm during a clash with the woman at around 1:36 a.m., police said.
Medics rushed the victim to Weill-Cornell Medical Center, where he’s expected to survive.

The attacker has not been caught. It was not immediately clear what sparked the attack.
Police are searching for the woman stabber, who fled the scene on foot wearing a black shirt and black glasses, officials said.
After sun up Thursday, a trail of blood was spotted stretching from Crescent St. to Hunter St. along 42nd Road, where a man could be seen hosing off the gore from the sidewalk in front of the luxury building where he worked.

The assault comes just hours after two people were killed in separate stabbings in Queens.
Mesias Lojano, a construction worker and father of two from Ecuador, was stabbed three times in the upper body and once in the neck aboard a Jamaica-bound J train about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.
He was slain after a fight with an emotionally disturbed fellow passenger spilled off the rush-hour train onto the platform at the Woodhaven Blvd. station, police said.
On Thursday, 25-year-old Jyrell Thomas, who was chased down and arrested after fleeing the scene, was charged with murder and weapon possession. Police sources said he picked a fight with the victim without provocation.
Earlier that day, a man stabbed his girlfriend to death and then jumped off the roof of their seven-story apartment building as cops responded, police said Thursday.
When cops arrived at the building on Neilson St. near Dinsmore Ave. in Far Rockaway about 11:50 a.m., they found the 33-year-old stabber covered in blood standing on a ledge of the roof, a police source said.
Cops attempted to talk him down, but he jumped, plunging seven stories, the source said.
Medics rushed him in critical condition to Mount Sinai South Nassau. In addition to injuries from the fall, he had slash wounds on his wrists, ankles and torso, according to a police source.
Inside his apartment, cops found his 31-year-old girlfriend, Pheona Premraj, dead. She had been stabbed in the face, neck, chest and abdomen. The knife used to kill her was found next to her body.
