Mia Goth has officially filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, a year and change after they quietly separated.

The “Odyssey” actress filed documents late Tuesday night, listing their separation date as July 28, 2025, and attributing the move to “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reported. Goth requested primary legal and physical custody of Isabel, their 4-year-old daughter, and wants to quash the court’s ability to award spousal support to either one of them, TMZ shared, citing the documents.

The actors met while filming “Nymphomaniac” in 2012 and began dating, spotted out and about in 2013 after LaBeouf dropped then-girlfriend Karolyn Pho. During an on-again-off-again relationship, Goth and LaBeouf were caught on video in a disturbing confrontation in Germany in 2015 but were spotted holding hands days later. They got engaged in 2016, wed a few months after that, and had Isabel in 2022.

The “Transformers” star has a yearslong history of legal run-ins that include disrupting a 2014 “Cabaret” performance at Studio 54 and shoving a man at a Queens protest in 2017. The same year, a bartender sued LaBeouf for calling him a racist when he refused to serve him alcohol.

LaBeouf moved to New Orleans after the two separated and was arrested there twice in February this year, bonded out on $100,000 and was remanded to rehab, which both Goth and his attorney have advocated for. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery charges in June.

In March of this year LaBeouf was spotted in a hotel lobby in Italy wearing nothing but underpants while trying to get a light for the cigarette dangling from his lips.

Police visited the couple’s Los Angeles home numerous times before the Disney Channel alum moved halfway across the country, TMZ reported. Goth “really cares about Shia” and wants him to go to rehab but is focused solely on what she can control, a source told People in April.
