Hilary Swank, 52, pregnant with third child after welcoming twins

Just three years after giving birth to twins, 52-year-old actress Hilary Swank revealed she is pregnant with her third child.

The Oscar winner announced the happy news on Instagram Wednesday night with a zany clip, featuring her family dancing in the dark with glowsticks attached to their bodies. First her husband, Philip Schneider, appears alongside their 3-year-old twins, all of them rocking out out to Bachman–Turner Overdrive’s tune, “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.” Then Swank emerges, showing off her glowing baby bump, which has a tiny glowstick baby taped to it.

“A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next,” she said in the caption before going on to hint at her due date, “this one releases in December.”

Swank and Schneider, who is also 52, first became parents back in April 2023, when they welcomed twins Aya and Ohm. The “Million Dollar Baby” actress was 48 at the time while Schneider was 49.

“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it,” she captioned a post, announcing their arrival. “Happy Easter!”

She added: “Posting from pure Heaven.”

The “Yellowjackets” actress recently opened up about having children later in life during a 2025 interview with Women’s Health.

“I would have had kids earlier,” she said. “I’m not saying I actively waited until 47. But that was a magical time in my life, when it all culminated. It was the right time for a myriad of reasons.”

Swank echoed the sentiment in an April Interview with E! News, saying, “I personally was happy that I had them later in life, because now I can give them my full attention in a way that I wouldn’t have been able to earlier in life.”

Swank and Schneider first started dating in 2015, and Schneider proposed the following year during a vacation in Colorado. In August 2018, they tied the knot during a private ceremony at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, Calif.
