“Training Day” actress Charlotte Ayanna is behind bars after she apparently became violent and scattered cremated human remains inside a home in West Hollywood, according to a report.
Ayanna, who played Ethan Hawke’s wife in the 2001 crime thriller, was arrested on Oct. 8, after authorities were called to a residence in the area to perform a welfare check, law enforcement sources told TMZ. When they arrived on the scene, they were met by an alleged victim, who told them that Ayanna threatened and attacked him before spreading the remains inside.
Ayanna also allegedly kicked one of the responding officers, and she was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal threats, elder abuse, battery on a peace officer, and depositing human remains outside of a cemetery. Prosecutors have since filed three misdemeanor counts against the actress, including battery, elder or dependent adult abuse, and battery on a peace officer.
She’s being held on $50,000 bail.

Ayanna, who was born Charlotte Lopez, told TMZ she was unlawfully arrested and that she still has not had an opportunity to speak to authorities about the incident.
“It was an unfair illegal false arrest,” she told the outlet. “Not only was I never read my rights, including the Miranda rights, but I was never even interviewed to talk to.”
In addition to “Training Day,” which starred Denzel Washington in an Best Actor Oscar-winning turn, Ayanna appeared in “Love the Hard Way” with Adrien Brody. She also won the Miss Teen USA competition in 1993.
