A 21-year-old NYPD recruit was killed Wednesday morning when he crashed his motorcycle on a Queens parkway Wednesday morning, police said.
The victim was riding north on the Jackie Robinson Parkway when he struck a guardrail while getting on the ramp to the Van Wyck Expressway about 6 a.m., cops said.
Medics rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.
The victim was off duty when he crashed.
Police said the two-wheel vehicle he was riding was badly damaged by the collision but appears to be a motorcycle rather than a scooter or moped.
