“Billions” star Asia Kate Dillon is looking for hospitality industry work to pay the bills.
The nonbinary actor, who appeared on more than 70 episodes of the hit Showtime series about high-rolling investors from 2017 to 2023, posted a cover letter of sorts on Instagram Tuesday. It says that, after 11 years of making a living in show business, they’re looking to return to the service industry.
“Now, like for many, many performer colleagues of mine — particularly those of us who are trans/nonbinary/gender nonconforming — acting work has all but diminished, and I’m in need of service work once more,” Dillon wrote.
Dillon also appeared on Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” in 2016 and 2017 in addition to playing a significant role in “John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.” Their last credit was for the 2025 film “Outerlands.”
Dillon’s resume states that they got their first food service job in 2000 at the age of 15 in upstate New York. That gig included maintaining a coffee station, restocking the restroom and mopping up spills.
“I loved it,” Dillon wrote.
They balanced food services work and acting until 2015 when the latter became a priority. Now Dillon plans to transition back to working with the public. They claim to “love customer service” and appear ready to start right away.
“I’m available for part time, night and weekend work,” Dillon offered.
A publicist who worked with Dillon said the post is legitimate, but that he isn’t currently representing the Ithaca native, who studied theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
