The gangbanger brother of one of the men involved in a deadly nightclub shootout in Brooklyn faces federal charges for tossing two guns out of his window when police came looking for his trigger-happy sibling.

Jabari Cummings, 36, was busted last week on a federal felon-with-a-firearm charge — after the feds linked one of the two guns he tossed to his DNA, and the other gun to multiple shootings, according to court filings.

His younger brother, Haile Cummings, 34, was arrested in September, after going on the run for more than a year since the wild, gang-fueled gunfight at Taste of the City Lounge in Crown Heights on Aug. 17, 2025, which left three dead and 11 wounded,

Police were looking for Haile Cummings on Sept. 19, 2025, when they raided Jabari’s second-floor apartment on Bedford Ave. near Sullivan Place, according to the feds.

As cops knocked on the front door, officers outside spotted someone tossing two loaded handguns, a Springfield Armory and a Taurus, out of a bedroom window, say the feds, who also allege that only Jabari Cummings and his mother were present in the apartment at the time.

Police say they found a passport and earnings statement in Jabari Cummings’ name in that bedroom, as well as paraphernalia and photos linked to the Folk Nation Gangsta Disciples. Both Cummings brothers are Folk Nation members, the feds allege.

Feds say investigators later found Jabari Cummings’ DNA on the side grips of the Taurus, and linked the Springfield Armory gun to four shootings, including the Aug. 30, 2025 shooting of a rival member of the 5-9 Brims, which may have been retaliation for the lounge shooting.

Video released by federal prosecutors last year shows more than 40 shots fired in just six seconds at the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Ave.

The gunfire killed Brims gang member Marvin St. Louis, 19, who cops say sparked the shooting with a derogatory hand sign and an initial barrage of bullets, Folk Nation gang member Jamel Childs, 35, who returned fire, and Amadou Diallo, 27, who police believe was a bystander.

Haile Cummings is seen on video firing several shots after the mayhem began, according to the feds, though he’s not accused of striking anyone with his shots, the feds allege.

Despite his wanted status, Haile Cummings made the bold choice of drinking in public during Brooklyn’s J’Ouvert festivities in Crown Heights, a celebration before the annual West Indian Day Parade regularly patrolled by a massive police presence. Police busted him for drinking in a public park, then realized who he was after chasing and arresting him, according to the feds.

Jabari Cummings was arrested last week and arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court Wednesday, where a judge ordered him released on $100,000 bond.

Cummings has a lengthy criminal record, including serving three years in prison for a stabbing at an Atlantic City casino in July 2020.

His attorney did not immediately return a message seeking comment Sunday.
