Fort Worth police on Monday released an arrest-warrant affidavit that revealed a third person was involved in a club shooting three months ago that left one person dead and five others injured.

According to the affidavit, Lamar Luster, 20, is facing a murder charge in the killing of Patrique Allen, 31.

A motive for the shooting has not been explicitly disclosed, however police previously suspected it may have been gang-related.

The incident happened at the Social Liv nightclub in the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street at about 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 5. When officers arrived, they entered the business and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso, police previously said.

The man, later identified as Allen, died at the scene. Police wrote in the affidavit that Allen was a “known East Side Gorilla gang member.”

The other five victims, whom police did not identify, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness who stayed on the scene to speak with detectives said she knew Allen well and was there when he was shot, the affidavit said. She was standing next to Allen, when she saw a man who she knew as “Lil Steppa” shoot him.

“Lil Steppa” was later identified as Jason Nash, 22, who now faces a murder charge in connection with the incident. Nash is a member of the Glen Garden Hard Head gang, police wrote in the affidavit.

The witness said she thought she saw the second shooter as a man called “BaBa.” He was later identified as Arkell Ross, 21, who, according to the affidavit, is a 5X2 Hoova Crips gang member. Ross also faces a murder charge in connection with the shooting.

Only one out of five of the injured victims provided information on the shooters. The victim, identified in the affidavit as witness 2, spoke with investigators and identified Nash as one of the shooters. Detectives were also able to identify both Nash and Ross on surveillance footage from the club.

Police wrote in the affidavit that after further review of the surveillance footage, they saw a third suspect:

  • Tucking something down the front of his pants right before he gets patted down by security, prior to entering the bar, at about 1:09 a.m.
  • Standing at the front of the bar when the victim is entering the bar at about 1:21 a.m. He appears to see him and then begins texting someone on his cell phone.
  • Speaking to the two shooters at about 1:38 a.m., then he pulls something out of the front of his pants that looks like a handgun with an extended magazine.
  • Standing with the two shooters where it appears that he hands the handgun to one of the shooters at about 1:39 a.m.

Within seconds, the third suspect along with the two shooters walked over to Allen, at which point the two shooters opened fire on him, according to the affidavit. The video footage showed Ross shooting Allen with a handgun with an extended magazine.

A third witness, who was identified from the surveillance video and seen talking to one of the shooters, spoke to investigators. He identified the third suspect as “Mar.” Police later identified him as Luster, who was seen handing the gun to Ross on the video footage.

It is not immediately clear where Luster is being held or if he has an attorney.
