A young boy — age 12 or 13 — was shot in the left shoulder late Monday afternoon in the city’s Logan section, police said.

The shooting happened around 4:25 p.m. on the 5000 block of North 10th Street just south of Lindley Avenue, police said.

The boy was taken by private automobile to Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Police examining the area found blood evidence and a spent casing on the street in front of a house on 10th near Lindley.

No arrests were reported.

In an unrelated shooting, a 14-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in Northeast Philadelphia shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.

A person of interest was taken into custody in that case, police said.
