
A 19-year-old woman crossing a Queens street was fatally struck by the driver of a private sanitation truck, police said Monday.
Jannath Nishath was crossing 62nd St. in Woodside when she was struck by the driver of a Royal Waste Services garbage truck turning off Roosevelt Ave. about 11:55 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
The victim died at the scene, about a half-mile from her home.
The 38-year-old driver remained at the scene and was not immediately charged as cops probe the crash.
Royal Waste Services did not immediately comment.
