A man was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia, police said.
Philadelphia police were called about 2:45 a.m. to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of West Lehigh Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to his chest.
The man, who authorities did not identify, was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died, police said.
No further details were immediately available, and the investigation is ongoing.
Through Saturday, Philadelphia police had reported 129 homicides this year. That compares with 164 through the same date last year and 404 through the same date in 2021.
