A 14-year-old boy was wounded in a Bronx shooting following an argument with a gunman more than 40 years his senior, cops said on Monday.
Roderick Allen, 55, is being sought for opening fire on the teen at Cruger and Burke Aves. in Williamsbridge around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, according to law enforcement.
Allen, who had no prior relationship to the victim, walked up to him and picked a fight, only to end the argument he started by drawing a weapon and firing on the boy, cops said.
A bullet struck the teen in his left leg and grazed his right leg, said police.
Medics rushed the boy to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is expected to survive.
Allen fled south on Cruger Ave. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a white tank top, black sneakers and black hat.
The suspect has no criminal record in New York City, according to an NYPD spokesman.
Police released a photo and surveillance footage of Allen and are requesting the public’s help in tracking him down.
