A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head outside a Bronx apartment building by a gunman riding an e-bike Tuesday, police said.
The victim was struck on the left side of his head while on E. 228th St. near Bronxwood Ave. in Wakefield just before 7 p.m., according to law enforcement.
A nearby resident said the teen was visiting his girlfriend when he was attacked.
“It was like four or five shots. He doesn’t even live here,” said the witness, who refused to give her name. “I looked out, and he was no longer there. He ran back upstairs to get away from the shooter.”
Medics rushed the teen to Jacobi Medical Center, where he’s expected to survive.
The gunman, who was wearing all black, was last seen speeding off on an e-bike, said police.
No arrests have been made.
