Cher has financially cut off her adult son Elijah Blue Allman, according to reports.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, 49-year-old Allman requested a reduction in the spousal support he pays his estranged wife, Marieangela. The former couple wed back in 2013, and then parted ways in 2021. He also filed for divorce, but the case was dismissed, and Marieangela once again sought to end their marriage in 2025.

Allman said his estranged wife wrongfully listed his monthly income at $20,000 via two separate trusts, according to the court document. He acknowledged that while he still receives $10K a month from his late father Gregg Allman’s trust, he no longer receives his $10,000 monthly allowance from his mother. That means, after taxes, he only gets around $6,790 monthly. He added that his spousal support payment — $ 6,500 — represents 98% of his income, and being forced to pay it would leave him with almost nothing.

Allman’s lawyers requested that the payment be brought down to $1,651 per month.

Last month, a Los Angeles judge rejected Cher’s request for her son to be placed under a temporary conservatorship. The judge said she did not “see the urgency,” despite Cher’s claims that Allman has been left “gravely disabled” amid his mental health and substance abuse struggles.

Allman was twice arrested in March, first for causing a disturbance in the dining hall of St. Paul’s School, a boarding school in Concord. He was booked into the Merrimack County Jail and charged with two counts of simple assault and one count each of criminal trespass, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.

He was released without posting bail later the same day.

A week later, Allman was arrested for busting into a New Hampshire home, where police found him smoking on the couch. He was charged with with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief, and breach of bail. He is currently being held at a psychiatric hospital.
