Actor Courtney Stodden has reportedly forgiven “Seinfeld” star Jason Alexander for his role in a sexually charged comedy skit the pair worked on when she was a teenager.
The 31-year-old show business personality posted a message on Instagram Monday recalling a short video she, Alexander, and her much older ex-husband made for “Funny or Die” when she was 17.
“Looking back now, I don’t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke,” she wrote next to a photo of Alexander running his cellphone past her bikini-clad breasts.
A representative for Alexander sent a statement to the Daily News on Tuesday offering an apology on his 66-year-old client’s behalf.
“Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it,” Alexander’s statement said. “But more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden. I offer her my sincerest apologies.”
Stodden told TMZ she accepts the sitcom star’s apology and asked him to put his money where his mouth is.
“I believe the most meaningful apology is one that creates change,” she said Wednesday. “I would encourage him to support and donate to Unchained At Last, an organization I’m proud to advocate alongside that is leading the fight to end child marriage in the United States.”
Alexander’s representatives didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment regarding her suggestion.
Stodden told ABC News in a 2025 interview that she married 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchinson when she was a naive 16-year-old. She claims to have been groomed by “The Green Mile” star.
Stodden shared a message from supporter Crystal Harris on her Instagram Story that includes a link to TMZ’s article about her exchange with Alexander.
“Holy s–t. Please go to Courtney’s page for the full story,” she posted on Wednesday. “Apologizing is literally his only option at this point.”
