Crews are battling a fire that erupted Monday in brush on the north end of Camp Pendleton, base officials said.

The fire was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the Quebec training area of the Marine Corps base. Officials said late Monday afternoon there was “no known threats to life, safety, or infrastructure.”

The Camp Pendleton Fire Department personnel is working in coordination with the Orange County Fire Authority and Cleveland National Forest crews to respond to the incident.
