A cyclist was fatally struck by the driver of a Mack cement truck while riding in Brooklyn, police announced Friday.

Edwin Delgado, 53, was riding his bike south on 16th Ave. when the cement truck driver, heading in the same direction, hit him near 49th St. in Borough Park shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according to law enforcement.

Medics rushed Delgado to Maimonides Medical Center, where he died.

The 68-year-old truck driver remained at the scene and has not been arrested.

Delgado lived in East New York roughly eight miles from where he was struck, police said.
