Plano is set to land another corporate headquarters as sour cream and cottage cheese producer Daisy Brand will leave Dallas for the suburbs.

Plano City Council approved a $500,000 grant to support Daisy’s move to the Granite Park Four office park development at 5850 Granite Parkway. Under the deal’s terms, Daisy must occupy the space by the end of 2027, lease at least 54,500 square feet of office space and make at least $10 million in real property improvements.

The deal includes clawback provisions if Daisy fails to meet the terms of the deal. It’s unclear how many jobs will be created by the move. Daisy officials did not immediately respond to questions about the move.

“Daisy Brand has been a respected leader in the dairy industry for more than a century, and we’re honored they’ve chosen Plano for their headquarters,” Mayor John Muns said in a statement. “Our talented workforce, exceptional quality of life and business-friendly environment continue to attract leading companies. We look forward to building a strong partnership and supporting Daisy Brand’s future success.”

Founded in 1917, Daisy Brand’s is currently headquartered at 12750 Merit Drive in northern Dallas. The company moved its headquarters to Dallas in the 1970s.

Daisy Brand is the latest company to move its headquarters from Dallas to Plano. Earlier this year,  AT&T announced it was leaving downtown Dallas for a new 54-acre campus at 5400 Legacy Drive. Demolition at the Legacy site began in May, paving the way for the telecommunication giant’s new billion-dollar-plus headquarters.

North Texas remains a popular headquarters destination. Dallas-Fort Worth gained  a net of 11 new headquarters from out of state last year, according to a recent report published by national commercial real estate giant CBRE — a bigger influx than any other U.S. metro area.
