Dead body stuffed in garbage bag found discarded on Brooklyn street

A dead body was found stuffed into a black plastic garbage bag on a Brooklyn street Friday morning, police said.

A homeless man rummaging through the trash on E. 93rd St. and Ave. L in Canarsie made the grisly discovery at about 9:20 a.m. and flagged down a city Department of Sanitation worker, who called police.

The victim, an adult male, was found next to a green garbage can, officials said. His name was not immediately disclosed.

Foul play was suspected, although the city’s Medical Examiner’s office needed to schedule an autopsy to determine how the person died.

There was no immediate arrest.

Cops were canvassing the area for surveillance video that captured someone dumping the body by the trash can, officials said.
