Drivers, rejoice. The Inquirer’s Lacey Latch has received word that the (seemingly endless) construction along Route 70 will “essentially be complete this year,” per the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
You may have grown unwillingly inure to the roughly $150 million safety improvement project that has marked up the thoroughfare since 2021. Now, updating some traffic signals and finishing up paving work are the only outstanding to-dos, though NJDOT has some additional landscaping work planned with Camden County in the spring.
🚦 In other roadway news: Cherry Hill is at the center of multiple stretches of South Jersey highway that have seen the highest numbers of fatal car crashes in recent years.

Brandon Parish, who manages the deli at the Kibitz Room’s original Cherry Hill location and previously owned the now-shuttered King of Prussia outpost, has filed for personal bankruptcy. The deli inside The Shoppes at Holly Ravine won’t be affected.

The New Jersey Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal aimed at unseating three members of the South Jersey Progressive Democrats — all Cherry Hill residents — who won in the June 2025 primary to control the Cherry Hill Democratic Committee, 70and73 reports.
