A father and son were repeatedly stabbed while fending off robbers who attempted to steal a moped outside the victims’ Queens home early Friday morning, cops said.
The dad, 52, and his son, 23, were at home on 201st St. near 42nd Ave. in Bayside when they heard a noise and went outside to investigate shortly after midnight, police said.
That’s when they spotted two unidentified men trying to steal their moped, and the pair rushed over to protect their property, according to a law enforcement source.
Both father and son were wounded in the scuffle, with the younger man being stabbed in the head, lower back and right shoulder, while his dad was stabbed in his knee and slashed on his stomach, cops said.
However, the duo was successful in warding off the thieves, who fled on a moped — but not one belonging to the victims, police said.
The injured men made their own way to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where they’re expected to survive.
One of the thieves wore all black clothing and a helmet, while the other sported a dark shirt and blue jeans, cops said. The suspects were last seen zipping south on 201st. St.
