The clip features Perry singing as an assortment of people bounce around her as though they’re on pogo sticks. One of those is Trudeau, who’s been romantically linked to the 41-year-old singer for nearly a year.

He’s wearing tan pants and an army green shirt while quickly passing behind Perry, who’s sporting a tight pink leotard with a seahorse across the torso.

“Tonight’s the night, I light a match, throw it hard behind my back, gonna try to forgive and forget,” she sings in the chorus of the poppy song.

Trudeau and Perry first made headlines in July 2025 when they were spotted sharing a meal of lobster and tuna in a Montreal restaurant. The former world leader was soon after spotted at one of Perry’s concerts in the same Canadian city. The pair posted photos confirming their relationship on social media in December.

The liberal politician served as Canada’s prime minister for 10  years, from March 2015 to March 2025. Perry released her first album under her birth name, Katy Hudson, in 2001. Her pop star career began in 2008 with the release of “One of the Boys,” which included the smash hit song “I Kissed a Girl.”
