Lady Gaga was forced to cancel her final Montreal show Monday on doctor’s orders because of a worsening respiratory infection.

Thee world-renowned singer announced the cancelation hours before she was set to take the Belle Center stage.

“Hi everyone. I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,” Gaga wrote in her Instagram Stories just after 5 p.m. Monday, according to The Gazette in Montreal. “I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it’s gotten worse. My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today, and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve.”

She had performed at the same venue on Thursday and Friday last week, and the experience “was magical and deeply meaningful,” Gaga wrote.

“I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down,” the “Abracadabra” singer continued. “To everyone who was coming tonight, I’m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry.”
