A 21-year-old man was shot in the head and critically wounded in a Bronx apartment building, police said Monday.
The victim was shot on the fourth floor of an apartment building on Harrison Ave. near W. Burnside Ave. in Morris Heights about 10:50 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
Medics rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was clinging to life.
Police recovered one shell casing at the scene.
“We heard the gunshots,” said building resident Charlie Zisue, 40. “Only one fired. Heard the sound and then it got quiet.”
“The building is calm and quiet,” he added. “You have your arguments but nothing like a shooting.”
The shooter got away and it is not yet clear what sparked the shooting, cops said.
