A 27-year-old man was killed early Friday after he was shot in the head inside a Bronx apartment building, police said.

Shots were fired inside the E. 165th St. address near Tinton Ave. in Morrisania, part of NYCHA’s Forest Houses, at about 6:30 a.m., cops said.

When police arrived, they found the victim unconscious in the lobby of the building with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

EMS rushed him to Lincoln Hospital, where he died of his wound. His name was not immediately disclosed as cops track down relatives.

Police believe the victim was shot in the building’s stairwell before collapsing in the lobby.

Through Sunday, the Bronx had seen half of the city’s homicides this year and 44% of its shootings, cops said.

Citywide, homicides and shootings are down this year, with 32 murders and 99 people shot through Sunday, compared to 55 murders and 112 people shot by the same time last year.
