Man, 29, shot to death outside Bronx NYCHA complex

A 29-year-old man was shot to death outside a Bronx public housing complex, police said Sunday.

Jason Ferrer, 29, was shot in the chest just outside the Gun Hill Houses near Cruger Ave. and Magenta St. in Williamsbridge about 9:15 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

Medics rushed Ferrer to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died a short time later. He lived about two miles away from where he was shot, in Bedford Park, according to police.

Cops believe he was the intended target of the shooting and are looking for two men who fled on a moped.

Ferrer’s killing marks the 10th homicide in the Bronx’s 47th Precinct this year. The precinct also saw 10 slayings through Sept. 13 of last year and 13 in all of 2025, NYPD stats show.
